Once called eso-ability or esoteric-ability. From the Latin Eso meaning within or inner, and esoteric, meaning secret or hidden.
This refers to the potent latent ability that some have. When channeled with great skill, the ability can evolve or mutate.
Esoa can also be learned through Grimoires. Grimoires are written in an ancient language and is only understandable to those that are worthy (similar to understandings through tongues). Grimoires are living texts that can have personalities and favour things such as bloodline, aptitude, or element, for example. Some specialized military units and cults share esoa because of this.
